Inside Out Festival: Dorset 13-23 September 07

www.insideoutdorset.co.uk

Inside Out is an eleven day programme of international performance that takes place in September 2007 in special places around the county of Dorset and the boroughs of Bournemouth and Poole. A high quality programme of work will site carefully chosen pieces of international dance, theatre and music in locations where the unique conjunction of performance and place will create a transformational experience for audiences. .

Inside Out will aim to attract audiences from across the county and also to draw visitors from further afield. It will encourage people to discover, to appreciate and to see in a new light some of the unique places within the county, from the Jurassic Coast to the hill forts of the Ridgeway, from the market towns to the seaside promenades. Inside Out will inspire audiences to undertake voyages of exploration artistically, geographically and historically, creating new audiences for innovative international arts and encouraging cultural tourism.

This county-wide festival will help to create a sense of place and shared sense of identity, working to forge an image of Dorset as an exciting, cultural county where historic settings and contemporary performance can enhance each other.
